That's kinda the defense Trump uses all the time. "That's just Trump being Trump! He's not sophisticated in this legal stuff, he's just a naive simple New York Billionaire."
Does anyone else find it a little odd that the defense of Flynn is based on the premise that the man chosen to defend America from the most sophisticated foreign intelligence services was completely bamboozled by a couple of mid-level FBI agents?

There is no defensible defense of Flynn. All the Flynn defenders are doing what Trump defenders always do. Kicking dirt in the air and proclaiming that the "real" criminals (ie, law enforcement) are human scum that need to be prosecuted.

Yeah, but only if you presume that’s what happened. Flynn’s a lying goddamn felon. Trump lacked the onions actually to pardon Flynn, so he had Barr do it for him. This ought to make every American who actually understands what our system is supposed to be lean over and vomit.
