I think Republicans don’t care as long as they get their tax cuts and people they don’t like (anyone that isn’t a straight white person) are insulted and hurt. Republicans are bad people.

Sorry you feel that way, Matt. Hopefully some of us can change that perception one day. Have a great weekend.
-
I think you could probably change that perception if you cared about the good of all people instead of greed and cruelty. It’s not that hard if you’re a halfway decent person.
-
I'd consider myself halfway decent. I've got a brother in a wheelchair, a mother who died of alcoholism, a father who went to prison, and a wife who is adopted from Russia. Perhaps not a cookie-cutter Republican.
-
I believe in compassion, but I also believe that power is best bestowed in the individual, and not the state. As such, government-sanctioned acts of "compassion" seem to never properly address the issues they claim to for a variety of reasons. Does that make me indecent?
-
We have a Republican president talking about martial law to seize private property for use best deemed by state. And he’s a conservative?
-
I think you've confused me for
@POTUS. -
In all seriousness, I became a conservative because of the principles espoused by the likes of Ronald Reagan, William F. Buckley, Barry Goldwater, and even Calvin Coolidge. I believe in respect towards my philosophical opponents and I believe in healthy debate and discussion.

He was referencing that Bush and Obama has bills that funded a wall. That is a fact. Not a lie.
-
You can’t have a conversation with a piece of legislation.
-
Why take him so literally. Should we have taken Obama so literally on his red line in Syria or if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor or even better it was a video in Benghazi. I mean come on those were just slip of the split tongue right....

They tell their kids to respect whatever authority says because they want to spread their mental illness and don't want their kids to be better than them.

It's almost like they are playing a game of political Jenga. They're so afraid of causing the collapse of Trump's tower of lies and bringing down the wrath of his Twitter feed on their heads that they're utterly paralyzed.

stuart . . . . this is a good point. the normalization of lying, certainly in public life, is a reprehensible development. trump merits much greater pushback on this

Hate to break this to you stuey, but Republicans think it’s honourable to lie to get what they want. It’s standard procedure, it’s a way of life.
