    Think you’re right. I’ve done a number of state wide races in Texas. But the state is growing less white and if trend continues with R party, Republicans will soon lose Texas and when that happens, their love affair with EC will need serious marital counseling.

    Stuart Stevens like Mitt Romney is a guy I liked and admired. However TDS has been impacting Stuart for some time. Beto and Biden are not going to beat Trump in Texas. This is stuff a campaign manager should know cold.

    I know. That’s why the “California is hell on earth” by Trump is so odd. More of his voters live there than every state but Texas.

    Worth noticing that California has nearly as many Trump voters as Texas and likely more if it was even worth their while to vote.

    Texas had the largest number of Trump voters of any state. If polling starts to show him losing Texas, a lot of people on right are going to be thinking maybe that whole EC thing isn’t such a great idea.

    These are some really bad poll results for Trump in Texas.

    Pretty sound. Trump won EC with 46.1. vs Romney 47.2 because African American turnout decreased for first time in 20 years. 3rd party increased. If we knew the % of non-white turnout & 3rd party in 2020, would know outcome. Trump is running campaign for white voters.

    I think the Trump “strategy” is to get his approval to 45-46 in some swing states, depress Dem turnout by disqualifying nominee with attacks from right and left, and hope Schultz/third party candidates take 6-7%

    The historical elevation of Stauffenberg seems terribly misplaced. His opposition to Hitler was because he was losing the war. Had Hitler captured Moscow & invaded England successfully, Stauffenberg & like would have celebrated his victories. It wasn’t a moral opposition.

    It would be interesting to ask what if even a monstrous dictator who runs a prison camp of a country praised Trump, would Trump be so needy he’d slobber praise on the dictator? What if that dictator tortured an American to death? Would Trump still praise? But we know the answer.

    In case non-football fans are wondering why Trump is congratulating one out of many newly selected NFL players: Bosa is a Trump fan. For Trump it’s not about skill or character. It’s about loyalty to him.
