Because white men have always occupied the centre, some seem to think if they can't have an opinion on everything, this is some kind of oppression. It isn't. There was always other centres, other lives, others opinions in which you were irrelevant (as I am in others matters).

Ross Garnaut is correct to call for a resource rent tax.
High energy prices benefit companies (shareholders) and hurt consumers. Public debt is high and we have huge public investment needs. Taxing excess profits would be smart.
