It was what was in the back of my mind in that Twitter debate a few weeks ago. We’re very glad that it is resonating with historians (these are important questions across our disciplines, and we too in IR are in early stages of figuring out how to ask the right questions)

It’s an interesting comparison. From my vague memory, Hardt/Negri was broader and more diffuse in target, and far more optimistic about the possibilities of the multitude. I got comped a copy of the new book but haven’t cracked it open yet and suspect won’t soon given other crazy
