I'm going to miss it!
-
Where we really need it is iPad, where long-presses are delayed for drag-and-drop.
-
Maybe that also kills my hope of Force Touch working inside Marzipan apps. The only thing more frustrated than single windows, limited menus, strange keyboard shortcuts, and scrolling in Marzipan apps is having to double click controls in http://Home.app

you know, maybe the Mac is the nail in the coffin; they way they intended 3D Touch in UIKit isn’t appropriate for Mac apps
-
If they let iPad go without it they surely would let Mac.
-
Apple should've made long press gesture recognizes automatically 3D Touchable for 3D touch enabled devices. Developers don't need to do a thing, and users know what to expect

I love 3D Touch, even if no one else uses it, I just like the interaction style and how it feels. It’s just one of those small things that makes the iPhone feel more premium to me, and I would miss it. Even if I’m the only one.

The issue is that iPad Pro is supposed to be the most professional device, but it doesn’t have it. And if they haven’t added it by now, it’s probably a technical issue and/or they don’t care.

Pro features don’t need to be poorly designed. 3D touch is completely undiscoverable & mostly sucks. Only useful for peek/pop and keyboard navigation.

That argument would be a lot better if the iPad had 3D Touch.

3D Touch is such a great feature, I use it a lot too. Very disappointing if it’s indeed going away on all models

In the last 12 months I have accidentally found or seen on Twitter things I never knew existed with 3D Touch. Im going to miss it if it goes, but they’ve done a terrible job of discoverability

Well… should there be any manuals if most of the users aren’t going to read them?

What is an example of a pro feature on MacOS?
-
Any of the touchpad gestures.

Really...? Seems to be something anyone of any level enjoys

Is it undiscoverable? Yes. Not well implemented? Maybe. But the things it's good for, I dunno how they can do better.
