About a quarter of responders trust the MacBook keyboardspic.twitter.com/3oE6KQUBpl
I just wish I never had to hear about it ever again.
I'm mixed, kinda wish there was an option for that. I know a few people with repeated broken keyboards but I also owned a 16' Pro 15 and an 18' Air and had zero issues at all. I even prefer the feel now. So I have no personal reason to not trust it?
I rarely accept ‘not sure’s in polls, as that’s useless data. If you don’t know whether you can trust it or not, it doesn’t sound like you trust it
You’re just waiting for something to happen, and glad that it’s been fine so far
You do realize this is not a scientific or accurate way of getting a real overall sentiment of this keyboard issue. Twitter pools are self selecting and leans HEAVILY towards the sentiment of the user because people tend to follow people / brands that they agree with.
So by letting your sentiment of the issue known, which you have done A TON of, people are going to be swayed by your opinion.
And even if you hadn’t expressed an opinion on the issue, the demographics and / or location / interests of your followers could be heavily skewed one way or another. In sum, to assume this is an accurate measurement of any kind of sentiment towards this topic would be wrong.
Good thing nobody here was taking this as an accurate survey. But thanks for the pollsplaining
Actually many people think that these types of polls are accurate and Steve started off this thread as thinking this was a way to get an understanding of how overall people feel about this topic.
Not really. He didn't. For others it might be the case, but they don't apply here.
I won't buy any MacBook until they change the keyboard design to completely avoid the problems.
I can't even express how much do I LOVE my keyboard on MBP2015 and MBA2012 (still working & feeling excellently after 7 years, daily dirty use and a couple of cleaning attempts).

After today's announcement here's what I feel as an iOS Dev/Pro user: Apple doesn't give a damn about us.

Honestly I’ve got some mixed feelings about it. For me personally I got a repair in January 2018 with a revised keyboard version on my Mbp 15” 2016. Never had issues since then, guess I’m very lucky. But if I would buy one again seeing these issues? A big NOPE for me
This needed ‘meh‘, favorite keyboard ever, and ‘hell no’ as options
I’m somewhat less worried, but won’t rush to buy a new one. The fact that they’ve expanded coverage and are working to shorten repair times helps a lot. I hope the changes help reliability but it’s hard to trust them after their continual downplaying of the problem.
Apples position on the Butterfly Keyboard is similar to Theresa May’s Brexit deal They just keep returning with what’s essentially a crap thing hoping people will accept it
Never heard of a working butterfly keyboard on the long term. Every single person I know who owns one had problem with it.
