do you have an example implementation that would have prevented external sites from failing when your JS fails to load?

Yes! Anyone who had a non-global webpackJsonp function set in their Webpack config under jsonpFunction would have been unaffected.

Can you post a public postmortem on this outage? It was pretty bad on our end.

I am also very curious about the reason of the error, was getting "chunk-vendors.cd134774.js:1 Uncaught TypeError: (intermediate value)(intermediate value).push is not a function" Using stripe.js and vue-stripe-elements in a Vue app. App was not loading. How to prevent this?

Wonder if you could make webpackJsonp readonly without breaking webpack: Object.defineProperties(window, { webpackJsonp: {value: window.webpackJsonp, writable: false, configurable: false}, });

This caused our production website to go offline for over 20 minutes. I hope Stripe comes up with a solution to prevent this. Not acceptable SLA.

We're so sorry for the trouble! Please don't hesitate to let us know if you see anything else come up.
