@stripe hey, I'm testing connect account transfers. I'm getting the "You have insufficient funds in your Stripe account" error but obviously, I'm in test mode. Do live mode payout settings affect the test transfer request?
Hey Myron, live mode payouts shouldn't affect this. Are you using our test account information for Connect accounts: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/testing …?

The use case is delivery based. I want to transfer x to my driver after each delivery which is why I went with connect express

Hm, it sounds like you're using a Destination Charge model. You could collect charges through 'application_fee_amount' or 'transfer_data': https://stripe.com/docs/connect/destination-charges …. The Payouts API should be used for Connect Accounts to move funds to their bank account:https://stripe.com/docs/connect/payouts#using-manual-payouts …

Maybe I don’t understand the docs all the way just yet. I onboarded an express account (test mode) and now I’m trying to use the transfers api (node) to move x amount to the test account id. Test account balance was $75 and tried 700 aka $7.00. Thoughts?

The error message hinted at switching manual payouts to automatic for this to work but automatic payouts are only relevant for live mode business rule and devs can’t change this setting on the stripe company account. Thoughts?
