Hey there! Mind sharing a bit more with us around what you're looking to accomplish with Elements? You can currently collect payments with a Connect platform via Elements.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Looking for the payouts and custom accounts part of connect, so I can get the ease of onboarding from express but the benefits of custom accounts :)

One additional thought—you may be able to use Hosted Onboarding to solve what you're looking for, in concerns with the onboarding experience part of your question. Here's a bit more information on this: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/connect-onboarding ….

Question: is it easy to migrate from express accounts to custom accounts once I'm ready to tackle that?

This depends on your integration approach. We've got a matrix that outlines the differences between Express and Custom (as well as Standard) that highlights the differences in complexity: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/accounts …. The integration effort will likely be higher with Custom.

Yeah, I read through all of that (and all the requirements for custom). Mostly interested in knowing whether if I start with express, what exactly is the migration steps (per connected account) should I want to upgrade in the future. This helps me figure out the deferred effort.

PS: your documentation and API reference is by far the best of any API provider on the web :) Kudos~

Got it—thanks for clarifying. You would ultimately need to re-create new accounts if you were to move to Custom from Express. We also appreciate the compliment on our documentation!
