@stripe I LOVE your cohort analysis, but if you could offer one more option it would become the most valuable feature ever. We offer a free 30-day trial on our product and the cohorts would be much more meaningful if the base was "started a trial" instead of first bill.
Thanks for the kind words and the feedback! If all your customers are on the free trial by default, have you tried shifting all cohorts by one month? Otherwise, that's a great suggestion and we're happy to take it on board.

Thanks for the response! Maybe I am misunderstanding the data...does the cohort view count users who are on a trial or only those who are paying? I was confused by the fact that the bottom value on the y-axis still shows June 2019. Is there documentation about it somewhere?

Found the documentation confirming cohort starts upon expiration of trial. So the reason just shifting a month doesn't work is that I want the denominator to calculate the % retention to be based on number of trials started, not based on the number that first bill. Make sense?
