That's correct—there's no longer an option to add a default payment method, so the payment method will need to be specified each time.

We are charging customers for beauty services after a booking has been marked as complete. If we don't enforce a default payment method the customer could potentially delete his payment method before the booking completion.

We'd recommend manually creating a rule on your side which prevents the customer from deleting the payment method as long as there is a pending charge. You also have the option of authorizing a charge and holding it for 7 days before capturing:https://stripe.com/docs/charges#auth-capture …

Thank you for your feedback. It looks straightforward. I am a bit confused as this could easily be done on stripe side. Is there a reason it has to be a manual operation on our side ?
