I don't like this new policy from PayPal: "We’re changing how we treat refunds. If you refund...a transaction to a buyer..., there are no fees to make the refund, but the fees you originally paid as the seller will not be returned to you." Anyone know if Stripe is doing this too?

I don't know about that, but everytime I ask them anything via support I got quick and clear answers. Do you have an account there? If not, create one (no charge) and ask them.

I do...I currently offer customers the opportunity to pay via Stripe or PayPal. This policy change has me rethinking that. But, if it is an industry wide thing, that is a different story. Good suggestion to ask. Thx.

Happy to provide some clarification about how we handle these fees! While there are no fees to refund a charge, the fees from the original charge are not returned.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Thanks for clarifying. Is that new or how it has always been?
