Curfews are among the worst and most non-sensical of Covid policies. Why compress people’s activities and squeeze them all in at the same time? Leave it to govt. The mall by my house has extended hours to spread out shoppers, private sector gets it right.

But I do understand the concerns indicated in the article. Maybe essential workers should express their concerns collectively by staying home for a few days, maybe even ask for a permanent raise as compensation.
