Spiciness aside (and there's a TON of spiciness in the filing) the governor says sovereign immunity and executive/attorney-client privileges means he should not have to testify.
And he accuses the subpoena of being politically motivated.

This email from DA Fani Willis is 👀👀👀… she pushes back on accusations of the investigation into election interference being politically motivated and accuses Kemp’s lawyer of being “rude and even disparaging to my staff.”

And here’s Kemp’s lawyer asking that the governor’s interview be postponed until after the general election, where he’s facing a tightly-contested reelection campaign against rival Stacey Abrams.
Obviously, this is a big sticking point with much of the investigation…
