@stormchild There's a pref for that. Help -> BBEdit Help -> Expert Prefs, search for "Open File By Name", 2nd result
@bbedit Still bugs me many times a day that Open File By Name stays open after I use it. Would love a (hidden?) setting to make it go away.

@stormchild You can hold down the Option key when selecting from the window to make it close afterwards. -
