motorcyle sounds @LexisFlexxxisReplying to @stopthee @earthstepper @chesaboudinThat’s not an increase in overall crime, that’s an increase in crime within the immediate vicinity. That doesn’t mean more crime is happening, it’s just that slightly more is happening very close to the shelter. Crime in general likely went down in the city b/c of the shelter.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

56% more crime isn’t a slight increase. The issue was specifically Sheperd themselves which become hubs for crime. You’re willfully misrepresenting the data.pic.twitter.com/tP2nnc5zc6

I don't know man, I think the person who reads that and comes to the conclusion that housing increases crime is the one who misinterpreted it.

You just have to read the next sentence of the conclusion, "However whena homeless shelter opened, rates of breaking and entering commercial establishments were 34% lower within 100m of the shelter."

I didn’t ask where it deceased, I asked where it increased. You avoid that part.

You want to focus on it, but the evidence doesn't support your conclusion, as
@mikebonin explains, to improve the situation we need homeless shelters, housing, and less harassment from the police state.https://twitter.com/mikebonin/status/1402291875965378562 …Paul added,

To address this crisis, to save lives, and restore our public spaces, we need housing and services, not handcuffs and civil rights violations. Housing them without stipulation will not fix anything.
