Your HIV studies are flawed and would never be used to justify a circumcision campaign in say, Europe. America has a higher circumcision rate than Europe; why does it also have a higher rate of HIV transmission? http://blog.practicalethics.ox.ac.uk/2012/05/when-bad-science-kills-or-how-to-spread-aids/ …

A true master of the irrelevant. If Kellieanne needs some help, I know where to find it. And don’t criticize what you can’t understand.

Your use of an ad hominem proves that you have no knowledge on
#circumcision or#FGM, so instead you attack my character. Try to argue with facts next time.1 reply 1 retweet 3 likes -

You don’t understand ad hominem, do you. Do you know how to critically read a clinical trial, or just how to spout catchphrases originated by others?

Instead of proving that I don't understand something by asking questions or giving facts, you directed your argument on me, and then doubled-down by doing the same with the ad hominem!
So meta, you can't make this stuff up.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

There was no placebo group in the trials so already they aren't the "gold standard" of clinical trials. Second, intact men were not made to abstain from sex for the two months cut men were. Third, the 60% rate is based on relative reduction, not absolute reduction.

None of which is actually an important concern

So you're saying I don't know how to critically read a clinical trial, while you yourself refuse to critically read a clinical trial? This just keeps getting better and better.

I last reviewed this literature several years ago. You stimulated me to go and recheck. Reduction of HSV-2 and HPV but not syphilis. NEJM 2009. Reduction of HIV. Lancet 2007. Reduction of HIV. PLOS One 2005. Not one controlled failed on these end points. 5000 subjects each. QED

Who knows. We may have a cure or vaccine for HIV before babies today hit adulthood.
