I just learned that some parents get their babies' ears pierced and I feel like I'm the only person who's freaking out about this.

I worked for a piercer and we straight up are against that. It's definitely not okay to get an infants ears pierced.

It's a cultural thing. If the child doesn't want it when they get older, they can just take it out. Like there's no harm

Not sure stabbing a child's ears = no harm. Seems better to let them decide when old enough to understand and consent.

For the record, I don't think it should be illegal. Parents should be allowed to pierce their babies' ears.
