Needed scoped threads for use in unit tests, but wanted something simpler and less boilerplate. So I came up with this: https://docs.rs/easy-parallel pic.twitter.com/vwn6IBHUYw

Nice! To be clear - in the second case does it create v.len() number of threads or is there some sort of thread pool?

It just creates that many threads, there is no pool.

Only if you protect them with a mutex.

Very cool! I was peeking at the source; could you help me understand why you move the FnOnce into an FnMut before spawning the threads?

Hmm, good point. I forget - probably something about the interaction of Box and FnOnce. I think this is an old habit from the era before unsized locals. This may work without the conversion to FnMut.

New version, now you can collect results of threads in the order they completed :) https://docs.rs/easy-parallel/2.0.0/easy_parallel/ …
