It's pretty much a twisting of facts. A maquette was used in a failed pitch for an Egyptian statue. The pose was later reused for Liberty.

It would be grossly inaccurate to say that the Statue of Liberty was "originally Muslim." It's supposed to be a Roman goddess, nothing else.
