You don’t think machine guns would break PvE and PvP? I don’t agree with the majority of Bungie’s weapon slot changes but I do think the removal of machine guns was for the better.

Machine guns were ridiculously fun in both PvE and PvP. The only issue was when there was too much heavy ammo in Crucible early on.

Limiting their ammo in PvP did seem to alleviate some issues in D1 but I remember squads decimating teams with multiple machine guns. Do you think limiting their ammo in PvE would prevent them from being the most used heavy weapon in PvE?

The only PvE content HMG were viable in was Kings Fall Raid.

Clarified this in a different tweet, I was talking about HMG in D2's sandbox. As of right now, HMG would be the clear favorite for any pve content in terms of DPS imo. Like Triple said though, hopefully this is an incentive to introduce new fun guns.
