So your cards are never devalued, they're just devalued for a time? Or do you need to re-buy a new version of the same card with the monthly stamp on it? (I'm being a bit cheeky, but also asking for real)
Majority of cards are, yes, devalued once they rotate out. But we need to think of it from this POV, standard to me is for more competitive/devoted players. Casual MTG players use whatever they want w/o having to worry about restrictions so they can just have fun w/ their friends

And in terms of buying the same card with a new time stamp - magic does an amazing job or tweaking older cards to make them feel new or balancing the CURRENT sandbox as a whole to make old cards interact and have value in ways they didn’t in prior formats.
