Hey I agree with like not liking people because of their problematic stuff but that end part “learn to enjoy shit without tying your identity to it” is kinda off. A lot of time my special interests define me and my personality because of my strong tie to them.

If your identity is so tied to your consumption habits that people cannot criticize a thing you enjoy without you feeling personally attacked and getting defensive over it, it's not a healthy tie. If that does not apply to you, then neither did this tweet.

some of the words we use are really damning... -
yeah like, folx need to take a listen to “Stan” by Eminem if they never heard it. the song as a narrative is about an obsessive overzealous fan who takes things waaay too far. (cw: graphic description of a violent murder-suicide that takes place as part of the song)
