The brutalist architect John Carl Warnecke was born 100 years ago today. A favorite of Jackie Kennedy, he designed DC's Lafayette Square and JFK's grave site (w. eternal flame). He's also responsible for the NYC's most famous brutalist tower: AT&T Long Lines Building in Tribeca.
