Name something that every New Zealander would know but people not from Aotearoa would be baffled by.

The more I've practiced NLP and coached, the more I've come to understand that the phrase "common sense" is a fallacy.
Common to who, which group, which background? What makes sense to one might not make sense to someone else.
Next time some uses the phrase, think about it.

Just when I thought American politics couldn't confuse me more.....
Why would the Department of Energy release information about the original source of a viral outbreak?! Wouldn't that be something the CDC would do?
(Genuine question because I don't understand)

One of my greatest pleasures is diving into a great single player game that has a good storyline. Recently I picked up one that really just blew my mind.
Between angry people online and my family, every single storyline has been spoiled. A real practice in patience for me.

What I cannot fault is the friendliness of the people. It kinda makes up for all the other problems

Arrived at the South African High Commission in Wellington and it's a shambles. No signs besides the Veterinary Council of New Zealand. Already running behind schedule.
Honestly I cannot stop laughing at how bad it is 😂

Imagine travelling for thousands of light-years, trying to find parking for the #SuperBowl and then some F22 appears out of nowhere and blows you out of the sky. That's gotta suck

Choosing not to attend an unpaid work event doesn't reveal the absence of loyalty. It reflects the presence of other priorities.
If team-building, dinners, and parties are part of the job, they should be compensated.
Otherwise, attendance should be an option, not an obligation.

After almost two years at Stedi, I was impacted in a round of layoffs today. I'm grateful for the chance to work with such an exceptional team, and proud of the great things we've shipped.
I'm actively looking for my next opportunity – get in touch!

Some gamers in NZ are receiving their copies of Hogwarts Legacy today due to a certain retailer shipping them early because of a public holiday on Monday....
I am not one of those gamers and I'm pretty heart broken about it :P

Today I used a fountain pen for the first time, and not a cheap crappy one either. I don't think I've ever thought about a pen so much after writing with it 😱

Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish children escape the Nazis. His efforts went unrecognized for 50 years. Then in 1988, while sitting as a member of a TV audience, he suddenly found himself surrounded by the kids he’d rescued, now adults.
I like to remember this every Jan 27th.

The more I see companies promote how incredible it is to work for them, the less I believe them.

I'm very confused as to how that is out? I think the Indian team has every right to be upset at that
After almost a year of owning Air Pods I've only just found out about the background noise options 😱 they are INCREDIBLE.
Noise cancellation + rain sounds = absolute bliss

In 2005 I started as a Software Developer at a company where I was paid R3000 per month (before taxes), that equates to $275USD. The company that subcontracted us out charged the client that amount per day.
