I get the feeling this is going to be the new normal for all Apple events.
The level of pushback from the MacBook Pro event is staggering. I sure hope someone at Apple who can make a difference is paying attention.

While there are a few valid criticisms about it, it’s more a convenient place to put everyone’s Apple gripes.

Apple so rarely takes a step back (just that one iPod, really?) so I think we're probably looking at a couple years of revisions

before the chips get faster and the prices drop and the Touch Bar is everywhere and we all can be happyish again

Problem is they forgot to introduce a screen worth attaching to that cable. I think it’d have changed the tone significantly.
