If there is then a risk that his presence makes others (specifically, women and PoC) unsafe, then it seems to me like the right call

That's George Orvell and Philip K. Dick's dystopian ideas of pre-crime, not something we've based our civilization and human interactions up to this point...

The CoC specifically has a section about Pre-event Concerns.

So how's that working? I have a concern about a speaker. I don't like him. I kind of fear of him. I e-mail organizers and they kick him out?

They evaluate your claims and then decide to take action or not.

I still don't understand why you'd ban anyone even based on tone policing. How calling for people to stop being emotional makes them somehow unsafe?

And how feeling unsafe is actually something we want to avoid at the cost of expelling other people? There is no value in constantly feeling "safe".

Thought you may. I will remain unconvinced if you allow. The argumentation for the safetyism above all is deeply flawed and dangerous in my opinion.

So, here’s your bias: " There is no value in constantly feeling "safe”.”. You assume that, outside of this conference, the others involved are generally safe. I think you know that to be untrue. Now look at John & Charles. Are they generally safe? Probably more so.
