Shah says the feds have been providing the info. He says he talked to Abbott, the manufacturer, personally last night. Shah says CDC has put in its own order with Abbott.

Shah says CDC has been in talks with Martins Point Healthcare about sharing some of the rapid tests. Martins Point has received more rapid tests than the state. I don't have the numbers handy, but it's significant.

Shah says MDOT is reporting significant traffic reductions, particularly on the interstate and near urban areas. Example: 61 percent reduction at Maine/N.H. turnpike toll

Shah says the traffic data is proof positive that Mainers are, by and large, staying home.

Shah asked to compare Maine to other states of similar size and demographics. He says he often looks at NH for such comparisons. He says Maine is 13th highest state per capita in testing rates.

Shah says transmission is often inter-household. That's based on national data, but he says there's evidence of it in Maine, too.
