sounds oddly familiar. also how is it "dead" when it was open-source, forks exist? seems like someone/team just needs to take up the banner?

in theory, yes in practice, all existing metadata was nuked, so it's more clean slate. is this good or bad? i don't know. we'll see.

not an actix-web user so zero impact to me but to the larger community issue re unsafe, would respond that *everything* is a house of cards, though Rust has a better story of craftsmanship and attention to detail than most

oh yeah, it's very true that everything is most language's unsafe equivalent is "all the runtime and stdlib code"
