Bought a Switch. Video game UIs are as confusing and frustrating as ever. 😡

Thanks to Mark Mann for his on-point summary of The Depanneur for Village, an interesting new newsletter about life in Toronto.

I want a full house of Thomas Kincaide paintings, then I'll wait patiently to pounce on the first person who calls it kitsch 😁

Sarah and I saw Eight Grade last night. Do not miss that film. So much heart. Kayla is one of the most memorable hero's of a film I've ever seen.

This is fun and satisfying and hilarious— but it's such a cultural dead-end. Satire just entrenches us in cynicism. It's empty and exhausting. We don't need more satire. We need earnest, good faith, boring conversations.

If you find Kylie crass, just look at Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore or Jennifer Garner. Same market, just different demographics.

Putting aside the mythical “self-made” label (no one is self-made...), this is fascinating (though I’m admittedly out of the loop on beauty influencers).

The perfect office IMHO: 1/3 — Library area with no music or conversation. 1/3 — Open area because sometimes you need stuff happening around you. 1/3 — Open kitchen space & meeting rooms. Also the roof is a greenhouse vegetable garden 😆 🤙
