So what's your point? Nobody sleeps rough; like on the streets of New York, Los Angles; they are on the queue at least they can buy it. U.S homeless people they can't even get in to queue because they have no home to wash themselves.

I think the Prof. is simplifying a very complicated geopolitical issue to make a political point; which does not apply to reducing the cost of American healthcare, or higher education, and only deflects attention from US wages being stagnant for decades so 1-10% reap the benefit.
