    We wake up in boxes, get into mobile boxes to transport us to communal boxes to ultimately afford higher quality boxes in our lives. We spend our life in boxes so that one day we can spend time outside. You can just be outside though.

    The ambient loudness of the city from an apartment pales in comparison to the piercing crackling of someone stepping on leaves outside a house. The relative silence of the suburbs amplifies every single sound. Everything is heard. Strangely, NYC is quieter to me, not too loud.
