I'm leaving this thread up for posterity, but I'm obviously wrong on this one, I posted this in an emotional state reacting to what I felt like was an unjust situation, but long term this would case more problems than it solves and create more unjust situations.

I still believe it's unjust, the ones that are using this space to sell their art, push forward web3 and developing things, will pay the costs because people minted anything in this last 12 months on a premise of easy gains.

Yeah I also agree its unjust. But my post was like cutting off the nose to spite the face, it would just make the whole ecosystem much worse for a lot of different reasons. We need a solution but what I posted isn't it

It is a good discussion and there might be other ways to nudge people to support artists, curators and collectors within the constructs of the contract
