    Tnis is a vital point in understanding what is going on now

    Given that Momentum are waging a factional war against the Jewish Labour Movement to defend this behaviour, we are looking now at a situation where antisemitism on the left is getting worse not better. Denialism is galvanising the Left against Labour’s only Jewish affiliate.

    There was absolutely no comment about Jewish people and social class - you are projecting. What I said is that racism against Jewish people does not result in the harsher prison sentences, wage gaps, stop and search or unequal healthcare outcomes that we see with other groups.

    A Labour MP smearing the French president as an "Islamophobe" for reasserting basic liberal values in the wake of a series of horrific terror attacks. Grim. We should support the French as they grieve in the wake of these atrocities.

    Utterly appalling thread. Zero tolerance of racism also has to mean "get new friends". I've lost count of the friends and casual acquaintances that we have had to shed over the last 5 years. We are glad to be rid of them.

    A story of ‘polite’ antisemitism: This hateful graffiti was scrawled on a wall in Brighton nearby Jewish ppl’s homes and synagogues. My Jewish friend posted it horrified and one of her ‘friends’ deemed it valid criticism of Israel. I begged to differ. /1
