I thought I knew the personalities of my loved ones until I played Monopoly with them. Now I'm confronted with their inner Trumps.

Raise your hand if peoples' use of the non-word "nother" has ever paralyzed your brain, such that you think about how weird and wrong it is for several minutes straight. "That's a whole nother topic."

If you want something to do between Xmas and New Year's, you can listen to and I talking (ranting) about "pixel perfection". I mean... it's an option.

It's the kind of day when I'm working from home and my youngest son comes in after school and asks why I have another kanban on the living room door.

Still shaking my head after reading this: . Most good designers out there know that constraints *are the game*. It's all about contraints! I hope no beginners read the article and consider it at all factual.

If I were CD at YouTube for one day, I would have the design team change the location of the Subcribe button to the right of the video, just to have a laugh at the expense of those YouTubers who say, pointing down, "Don't forget to click the Subscribe button down below."

It's quite possible that this weekend, you might enjoy listening to two guys talk about whether designers should code. It's also possible that I can help you out with that:

It's quite apparent to me that I'm going to be silent-singing Defones songs pretty much all day long.

Well, it took a while, but and I have put out the next episode of Overflow: audible;—now an *actual* podcast—in which we discuss the old staple “Should designers code?”

BTW don't just copy-paste that—I added zero-width spaces to avoid @-replying people that might be using "important" and "urgent" as their twitter names. 🤦‍♂️

    1. Just have two labels: "important" and "urgent". Apply as needed. 2. This filter does the trick: `@urgent & @important, @urgent & !@important, @important & !@urgent` (tasks not listed are neither urgent nor important).

What you really want is to just label some things as "important", and some things as "urgent". Some with have both. Since supports logical NOT (!) in filters, your matrix filter just became easy (see next reply) >>

If you use the Eisenhower Matrix with as described on , it can be frustrating to have to mark things as "not important" and "not urgent" and attach two labels to everything. (see my reply to this tweet) >>

Don’t hire people with similar traits and backgrounds. Hire people with similar principles. Diversity of personality and experience brings fresh ideas and complementary skills. Shared values promote commitment and collaboration.
