Such sad news, one of the absolute greats of British comedy, Barry Cryer, is no more. A glorious, gorgeous, hilarious and gifted writer and performer who straddled all the comic traditions. Universally beloved … farewell, Baz.

Such sad news. Many memories growing up listening to Sorry I Haven't A Clue with my parents. The likes of Barry form a big part of those early memories. RIP

I’m so sorry to hear this news. Barry was just one of the most gifted & naturally funny performers I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. His writing & charm made him a national treasure. My thoughts are with his family and friends, especially the ISIHAC team. Forever loved.

He was just one of the funniest people. In his eighties he still managed to come up with fresh material, something a lot of people can start to struggle with past thirty.

OMG nooooo! I loved listening to him on I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue. So sad! There’ll be a heck of a party with him, Humph, Tim, Jeremy and Linda today.

This is fantastic. Worth it just for this bit near the end with Barry demonstrating that even well into his 80s he was still as sharp as a tack
