My father was in Dachau at 16yrs of age during WWll, he grew up in Oświęcim. He never spoke about it, in common with most who endured the experience. I went to Oświęcim in 1970 and visited the museum...I’ve never forgotten it. Heartrending.

Absolutely. My beautiful 11 yo Samuel has written two excellent pieces of homework about Auschwitz and the Holocaust. He's a voracious PBS/Yesterday viewer and appreciates the human stories that make the evil less detached.
