My grandfather suffered with alzheimers for years before passing away with it. His daughter, my mother fell ill with Aphasia which was accompanied by dementia. I take care of her & help keep my dad's head above the water. These illnesses are terrible & have harmed too many.

That's so lovely and has made me cry. My dad has advanced Alzheimer's and things are tough. I too hope research will find a way to prevent or reverse this terrible disease

That was so moving. My mum had dementia although she did still know who I was some of the time. It's a terrible illness.
