It is kind of fun to dig through these boxes when you have to improvise equipment setups
We have this old camera that has outdated ports and I *almost* got it hooked to a computer after making a super awesome daisy-chain of old cords. It took two days

You have been keeping them for a while and might as well keep them, you never know, maybe one foreign postdoc come and join your lab and wants to start the project immediately, but all computers are occupied and their power outlet is not compatible...

I totally would if they were adaptors for wall outlets - these are “D” cords for computers etc with a non-US male plug on the other end

I never throw equipment away until I am fo fed to make space. Who knows when there’ll be budget to replace it.
