    Election Night news dump! rating: Likely Democratic

    Politics is about timing. 4 years ago tonight I was elected in a district Obama won twice. Laura & I have considered another run, but watching PA, this is not the year to re-enter politics. Trump should be primaried in 2020. Our focus tonight is on being a part of that primary.

    Agreed. But the mentality matters when it comes to whether GOP incumbents choose to retire or seek re-election.

    I remember many Democratic incumbents who believed that in 2010 too. And theory of the case didn’t work out so well.

    I'm not saying GOP incumbents aren't concerned, but I bet most of them believe they are more connected to their districts and will run stronger campaigns than Rick Saccone.

    Excellent point CNN analyst just noted: If you’re a Republican in a +10 Trump district, you’re gonna start freaking out about your re-election now that a guy in a Trump +20 district is on the verge of losing.
