@steipete @marcoarment We’re going to get to iOS 8.4 this year though — there definitely seems to be more focus on incremental improvement.

@Padraig @steipete 8.4 seems to earn its .x number level because it includes a major new Music app, not because the OS is that much better.

@marcoarment @steipete We’ve had more iterations of 8.x than any other release. Look at 8.3’s long release notes. They _are_ fixing things.

@Padraig @marcoarment @steipete Isn't that a bad thing? If they were releasing stable software, they wouldn't need rapid-fire iteration.

@landonfuller @padraig @marcoarment I'm all for rapid improvements. With a framework you can never catch 100% of all use cases.

@steipete @Padraig @marcoarment I'd rather they try, than be used as QA.

@steipete @Padraig (It hasn't been my experience that software quality has improved since the rise of "rapid iteration" from VC-land)

@landonfuller @steipete @padraig a case can be made for the exact opposite due to "release it, we'll fix it later" which never happens.

@steipete on WWDC they will introduce bug fixes as features and will get an applause for that.
