I wonder if ppl in rp say they got stuff from Shadowlands not going into "im special" teritory? I dunno how that works out unless we can say we got stuff just from Azeroth and pretend are from there instead.

I reckon it works! There's the portal in Oribos but also i'm pretty sure the way the Paragon explained covenants even paved the way for your more average joe? "Every mortal in SL will choose a covenant..." etc
I see, if they do know as well mortals can casual go there then guess is fine?

It's probably mostly for gameplay reasons, you're right
