Call me an optimist, but I don't think we're headed for a Sylvanas redemption, because I don't think a change of heart when enough becomes enough is redeeming. A henchman turning against the big bad is a common trope, but it doesn't exonerate them fully.

Looking back on Sylvanas's whole history, there IS a more nuanced character under the horrible villain we've been presented with for awhile - this is just a sign she's still there. Anduin doesn't forgive her misdeeds for that. He just acknowledges she's still there.

The ONLY fear I have here is that Tyrande is going to be painted as evil for wanting Sylvanas dead simply because she’s decided to grow a conscience AFTER burning Teldrassil. Much like it doesn’t exonerate Sylvanas, it doesn’t make Tyrande’s vendetta any less justified.

All that said, it's fucked what they did to Shalamayne, but I doubt entirely it'll stay that way.

I feel like it was one of the classic "Look how cooler the sword is now " style but it for me it came out of nowhere even if it was clear that his sword was taken away from him.
