      I have one tradtion i know that usualy happens during the new year. It is called Ποδαρικό. When the new year comes in and you are the first one to get inside your house or someone's house you always step in with your right foot first for good luck for the rest of the year...

      It is also with your mood as well like you were happy sad or grump also plays role for how well fortune your family and house will be. At least that much i know is very old thing.

      And lastly ( i hope) we greeks decorate a tiny boat which represents the part of the greek culture as be close to the seas.
