Like, we have amazing clear differences in building styles and architecture with the troll tribes all over the world. Why can't we have that with the elves whose empire we KNOW reached basically all corners of Kalimdor?
Pretty much as someone who was studing about architecture in fine arts and saw that shot it buged a lot as to how they get there let alone hoe they even got the inspiration and time needed to be a thing at all.

Yes! Considering what they had as bases regarding imperial architecture (Zandalari and the Mogu), I don't get how they ended up with the delicate, ornamented, greco-roman/arabic aesthetic they have (I absolutely love it, but, still)
