That would be odd since multiboxing and gathering with multiple toons is still perfectly allowed.
I think they made it just more difficult to them cause if they going to use multyboxing they gotta have to check on each char to make them gather stuff i think?

I dunno the exact words they used, but I'm pretty sure you can't automate several characters via software to replicate keyboard inputs on all clients, or something.

Sure. Yes, you can no longer broadcast input. I.e. Press a key and multiple clients or a client you are not focusing receives a key. Slows down multiboxing a bit, but in the context of gathering it's negligible. Software for arranging and changing windows is within the rules.
