Its cause they want them to be special, and they want people to earn the appearances, so we shall see, as in a later patch they will make it so we can earn these as transmog. It would be kinda lame to just spend like 20k and get the full set day 1.
I mean there ppl with millions of gold so i see no trouble if they wish to spent their money somewhere let alone is up to them if they wish to skip the crafting part I for one will craft cause im poor but i had my fun as i never gave much for professions till now.
