    I Just found out that faun has some mix of roman and greek roots even if "faun" is of greek origin. I always thought was of slav folklore for some reason.

        Fauns definitely have that Slavic folklore vibe to them, a lot of those themes and aesthetics were probably pretty widely shared after the Rus converted to Orthodoxy
