A question about wow chat. I have been getting some whispers before by ppl i met in rps but never added them yet they somehow still can find me and send me whispers...how does that work?

I could be missing some context here, so apologies if I'm mistaken. You mean as in...you RP'd with them on one toon, switched, and they still got in contact with you? Only thing I can think of is that they added you on their end to their friend's list.
On the same character (forgot to mention that my bad :p) I met someone via rp and i remember well i did not add them to my list or got any inv by them. Yet they still can send me msgs in game so far. It is still confusing me how ppl can do that still.

If you're using TRP3, it basically saves all your RP-encounters (people you met that had their TRP active.) So that's probably how. :)

That's just something people have always been able to do. If it's a battletag friend request, then you'd get the option to add them. If it's just an in game adding, then no such prompt is given. They've added you so they can poke you again in the future.
